Water-Based Ink: Water-based ink is composed of water-based polymer emulsion, surfactant, pigment, water and other additives.

1. The water-based polymer emulsion is composed of acrylic and ethyl styrene compounds. It acts as a carrier for transmitting pigments, providing brightness, drying speed, adhesion, hardness, abrasion resistance, and water resistance. Film-forming emulsion is used for printing on the surface of non-absorbent substrates; non-film-forming emulsion is used for printing on absorbent materials such as paper and cardboard.

2. Surfactant reduces surface tension, spreads the ink on the substrate, and improves the stability of ink.

3. Pigment: organic phthalocyanine blue, Lithol red; inorganic carbon black, titanium dioxide

4. The water solvent can change the viscosity of the ink to affect the thickness and drying speed of the coated ink layer. Water-based inks are different fromSolvent-Based Inks. The dissolving carriers of solvent-based inks are organic solvents, such as toluene, ethyl acetate, ethanol, etc., while the dissolving carriers of water-based inks are water and a small amount of alcohol (about 3% to 5%). Because water is used as a dissolving carrier, pigment.

Water-based inks are usually used on perforated and non-coated substrates, such as paper and cardboard. They are also commonly used for direct mail product printing. They can be divided into Pigment Inks and dye inks. Because the pigment cannot be dissolved in water, it will precipitate. Therefore, the pigment must be ground very finely, so that it will have a better printing effect.

The pigment itself has good weather resistance, water fastness, light resistance, and abrasion resistance; the solubility of the dye is relatively good, there are many kinds of colors, and the brightness is good.

Advantages: harmless, non-flammable and non-explosive, safe, non-toxic, and nearly no volatile organic gas generation. Mainly manifested in the following four aspects:
